Increasing transparency in smallholder supply chains: Comparing approaches to monitoring the performance of investments and private sector participation

For this DfID-funded project, we'll be providing a synthesis of the types of monitoring and data being used by investors and the private sector in agricultural supply chains in a developing country context. From this work, we will draw key conclusions on best practice in monitoring inclusive growth and poverty reduction, with consideration of climate, nutrition and women’s economic empowerment. We'll also be looking at the barriers and incentives to taking up these approaches and how DfID can contribute to better quality information and transparency on the performance of private sector participation in smallholder supply chains. This will include clear links to the indicator framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
