University of East Anglia

The School of International Development at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a leading global centre of excellence in research and teaching in international development.

The School is committed to making a real difference in the world. Their academics regularly advise on policy on major global challenges such as poverty reduction and environmental sustainability.

In the 2015 Guardian University Guide, UEA was ranked 5th for Geography and Environmental Studies, with 98 per cent of thier students being satisfied with their course, and 97 per cent satisfied with the teaching they received. Students leave with academic expertise, training in practical skills and usually do a work placement as part of their degree.

The results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) rank the School of International Development 4th (Times Higher Education) in the country for overall research, with 74 per cent of their research ranked “World-leading” or “Internationally excellent”.
